Gameweek 2 and a much improved Monarchs performance resulted in a 3-1 away win against The Knave-Muller,Totti and Messi with the goals.
Just one player in again this turn with David Alaba joining and Mehmedi and Maedea leaving for pastures new.
VIVA LA MONARCHS

(P.S Newton-Shearer is going down this turn!!)

Two games this turn and as usual it was the cup that provided the good result.
It was only round 1 of the FA Cup but Monarchs comfortable disposed of The Knave 2-0 at home with a Messi penalty and Vieira completeing the scoring.
At home against England Legends it was a tale of two halves and after dominating the opening 45mins Batistuta was brought down in the penalty area by Armfield a minute before half-time.
The only outcome was a pen and Red Card.Messi converted and Monarchs seemed in complete control but the software then decide that playing against 10men was too easy so gave England Legends a couple of goals from He Who Shall Not Be Named and Beardsley and Legends stole a 2-1 victory.
In transfer news with the Upgrades around the corner Hawkins was reluctant to do any business but needed to raise some funds so Aguilar and Davids left.Hawkins did manage to also pick up Jose Maria Callejon on the cheap tho.
VIVA LA MONARCHS!!!!!

Just a league game this turn as Monarchs had a tough away game at Madman Madness.
Monarchs made a very good start tho with an early goal from Jairzinho and the lead lasted til the 54th minute when Madness pulled level.Hawkins then put Monarchs back in front before, once again,Monarchs were dealt a harsh blow when 4 mins from time Van Basten(????-why he was there I don't know) brought down a diving Madness player in the box and was duly sent off.Maren converted and it ended 2-2.
It was a lso a big week transfer wise with the new ratings due this week but all Hawkins could acquire were Navas and Valbuena with Papasthathopoulos leaving(Thank God!!)
VIVA LA MONARCHS!!!!!

In a big week for upgrades Monarchs also had 2 important games to play
They started with an away game against nemesis England Legends and especially He Who Shall Not Be Named in the DC Cup 1st round!!
For once the Monarchs defence was solid and kept him in check then Jairzinho popped up 8mins from the end to seal a 1-0 first leg win.
It was also an away game in the league against Inter Ya Mam and, while Monarchs conceded this time near the end,a double from Batistuta and finish from Muller all before half-time had long sewn up the points.
In transfer news Federico Fernandez signed up but major upgrades were give to Mascherano, Vidal, Muller and Diego Costa but biggest news was that Messi has decided that his best position is CF rather than WG giving Hawkins a major headache-Does he have the balls to drop himself?!!
VIVA LA MONARCHS!!!!!

Two games this turn again included a tight 2nd leg of the D.C cup at home to England Legends.
With Monarchs holding a slender 1-0 lead from the 1st leg-He Who Shall Not Be Named levelled the aggregate score with just over 30mins gone.
With the game on a knife edge Hawkins was brought into the game and a minute late Muller had put Monarchs ahead once more.5mins fro time the killer blow was dished out when Batistuta was brought down in the area and up stepped Jairzinho to kill the tie off-finishing 3-1 on agg.
It was another home game in the league but not such a good result this time against Rangers Legends-A Hateley double enough to win 2-1 despite Van Bastens equaliser.
Transfers and Hawkins swooped quickly to snap up Keegan and Reus and sold off Kinkster but the most shocking news was rumours of Hawkins spending the entire week practising out on the wing.
More news as it develops.
FORZA MONARCHS!!!!

You need to sort out your defence, Shearer didn't score against me this turn.

Ha-We managed that 1st leg thankfully
I've adopted the Keegan style of football-We'll just score more goals than you do!!
Doesn't always work tho

Monarchs has shown signs of big improvements over the last few weeks and this weeks games gave cause for further optimism.
First up was a FA Round 2 match at home to Percys Plonkers. It was tight but an early Puskas goal was enough to earn the win and a rare clean sheet.
Next up was a much tougher match at home to Colburn Town who sat 2nd in the league and an early goal for the away side looked to have set Monarchs back but they then showed the same character as in the last few games as Batistuta equalised 9mins before half-time then grabbed his second and the winner 9 mins after the break to seal an important 2-1 victory which moves Monarchs up to 6th,but some way off the leaders.
Transfer news and the first real big name to be culled by Hawkins was Gary Cahill who was allowed to leave this week.Diego Rolan was the only player to join.
VIVA LA MONARCHS!!!!!

Another 2 matches this turn and Monarchs continued their winning ways in both games.
First up was a LC Round 2 match against ST Erme's Saints and despite an early Batistuta goal Monarchs struggled to dominate but that goal proved to be enough for another clean sheet an 1-0 win.
Next up was an away league game against Future's Bright and whilst Monarchs were never behind in the game it proved to be a much tougher match.Another early goal from Messi was cancelled out by a pen before Muller put Monarchs ahead again just after the half hour.
The lead was wiped out once again just before the hour mark before Messi hit his second and the winner with 7mins remaining.
The win keeps Monarchs 6th but just 2pts off 3rd now.
Transfers and the only acquisition made was Mayada from OTL but rumours are persisting that a number of players want to leave the club-unsatisfied with the lack of game time.
VIVA LA MONARCHS!!!!!!

A rare week this week with just a league game away to Sparks but Monarchs continued their winning streak with a comprehensive win.
Goals from Hawkins(his first since his position change) and Batistuta virtually ended the game as a contest after barely 15mins and although Sparks pulled on back after 24mins,Batistuta scored again before half-time and Hawkins got his second after 55mins to complete a resounding 4-1 victory and move Monarchs up to 4th place.
In transfers just one player was purchased this turn-Giorgian De Arrascaete with Navas,Slimani and Callejon all leaving to boost the transfer pot.
VIVA LA MONARCHS!!!!!!
