After slumping to a disappointing loss in the final of the Challenge Trophy, manager Batigol was left with a choice after a tight game. Continue and hope for a 50/50 chance, or change something and take the risk that it might just work. Bayern, who had been the victors, would be their opponents once again!

Batigol chose to change it up slightly and although Barcelona conceded possession to Bayern this time around, they carved out better chances and made the most of them, scoring two goals, a thumping header from Falcao, which was followed by a pot shot from Gareth Bale, all of which meant they were cruising at half time. A reply from Dante on the hour mark brought a tense finish, but Barca held out to lift the European Super Cup!

The same week however, celebrations bubbled over into their DC Final game with Inter, and they were thumped 3-0!! With little to no chance of a comeback, Barca were left to concentrate on sewing up the league title, which was mathematically confirmed in an exciting 4-3 win at Tottenham. In 3 weeks time, there will be celebrations once again for the double!

Barca will not be relaxing though, as they still have the chance to finish the league season unbeaten!

Barcelona's manager Batigol was a happy man this morning. After capturing his first trophy as manager, he knew that the second was all but confirmed, and it was confirmed in style in front of a packed house of 142000 fans today. A 2-1 win for Barcelona against Milan finished the season in style, signalling not just another championship, but an undefeated one.

17 wins and 5 draws saw Barcelona blitz the 1st Division, scoring 53 goals in the process. The match winner on the day, Radamel Falcao, finishing his season with his 31st goal in 41 matches.

Barcelona can and should win more trophies, cried Batigol after this triumph. They will enjoy the day, but will already be thinking about what they can achieve next season.

Player of the Season:- Cristiano Ronaldo
Captain:- Vincent Kompany
Top Scorer:- Radamel Falcao (31 in 41)

Dodgy results and a promising season coming unglued, Man City look to have conceded the title, following a bizarre 3-3 draw against Napoli. In that same week they went down 2-1 to Inter and potentially conceded their last chance of a trophy.

The second leg then became the most important game in Man City's history. To stay relevant, to stay as a threat. Nerves abounded!

...and they conceded after just 6 minutes!

Up against it, and knowing that a second goal for Inter would kill them off, they pushed forward. 5 minutes later, Zlatan had brought them level with a scrappy goal in the area. On the hour mark, that strength came into play again as he grabbed his second of the game.

A tense finish brought extra time and tired players failing to find the net. The biggest penalty shoot out of these players lives.

Tevez stepped up and scored for Inter, Ibra answering with his first pen for City. Pavluychenko saw Buffon save his penalty while Schweinsteiger made a mess of his second.

All square as Bastos out the pressure back on City, but Suarez made no mistake despite Neuer guessing correctly.

2-2 with two left. RVP stepping up...and smashing against the post. An opening for City, Sanchez stepping up....and hitting the post in the same manner, disaster, was that the big chance?

Poulsen stepped up for Inter, anxious not to repeat what RVP had done, he went for the other side...and smashed the opposite post!

One more chance for City...and it was the new man at the back, Vermaelen, who waited for Neuer to move, and calmly rolled his penalty into the corner. Cue a wave of relief and emotion as Manchester City are crowned the DC Champions!

After a dazzling first season, Chelsea manager Batigol won promotion to Division 1 as champions of the second division. This turn came two important matches in his second season in charge. The first was a draw away from home to Inter which mathematically sealed the Division 1 championship. The second was a dream final, the chance of a second European Super Cup in as many years, could Chelsea complete a second double in as many years?

The first leg was a tense draw in which Milan were unlucky not to nick the tie after Berbatov equalized Modric opener. The second leg brought a change of approach by manager Batigol.

Again, Chelsea went ahead through the quite brilliant Sergio Aguero, and they looked to hold onto that lead. Their resistance was broken, however, by Essien ten minutes from time and, once again, 90 minutes finished with a 1-1 draw.

A moment of magic needed to separate two teams that were proving to be equals.

It was the perfect stage for that man, Sergio Aguero, who powered in his 31st goal is the season for a remarkable injury time winner.

Chelsea then, retained the SC championship for the second reason running, their 3rd trophy under Batigol. The supporters now have the task of supporting the team as they play out the remaining three home games of the season to be declared Division 1 champions!

Man United fans waited nervously for this Champions' Trophy replay with Newcastle United, after a tense game finished with an old boy, Danny Welbeck, grabbing a late equaliser.

Could this be the season where United returned to relevancy? They had slowly progressed in the cup while chasing down promotion in an extremely competitive league. Could they now add a European trophy too?

As it was, United players took to the pitch and delivered one of their best performances of the season, quickly going 2-0 up after the two best players on the pitch, David Silva and Gareth Bale notched a goal a piece. Bale's half volley particularly eye catching.

Around the hour mark, Silva and Bale combined again and it was Silva who managed to get a shot away and confirm the result, handing United and unexpected first trophy their road to revival. Could promotion be the next step?

Collapse! After a long unbeaten streak, it all looked to be going wrong for Bayern right at the end. However, a big win at Celtic wedged between a loss to Man City and a hammering at Spurs meant they were clinging on, trying to edge towards the line.

Before that, however, they had the small matter of a Cup final to attend to! With no form going in and a 3-0 stuffing in their last fixture, things looked bleak, but manager Batigol changes things around and hoped for the best, recalling striker Heynkes to partner Laudrup.

1-0 down at half time and wimpering, Bayern were given a lifeline, when Ozil was hacked down in the area and Laudrup dispatched the resulting penalty.

New signing, Juan Mata then came on and changed the game, with Bayern pressing and the recalled Heynkes grabbing the winner from a corner.

Not one to participate much in the Legends leagues, manager Batigol was said to be delighted at being able to turn Bayern's fortunes around. A point against Porto a few days later completed their double and completed their journey back to Europes' top table!

After wrapping up their 3rd trophy in four years, Chelsea went about getting their 4th...the first division title, in their first season back in the big time.

Chelsea set the pace early on and managed to stay out in front, confirming their title with 3 games remaining in the season.

A settled squad was bolstered by new arrivals such as Neuer and Ramsey over the course of the season and although they changed tactics and formations over the last stretch, they were pretty consistent the whole way through.

If their is one man to thank, that would be Sergio Aguero, whose incredible tally of 34 goals in 37 appearances dewarfed anyone elses goal contribution. He is forever a hero in the heart of Chelsea fans!

Captain:- Thiago

It has taken a while to get things right, but after winning their first trophy last season, the division one championship, Barcelona have followed it up with the European Challenge Trophy this season.

Manager Batigol quietly took his team to the semi-final, before an impressive 3-1 win over Man City announced their intentions to win the trophy. They didn't have far to travel, as the red side of Manchester would provide their challenge in the final.

A Falcao penalty put United ahead on the half hour mark, and it stayed that way until the hour mark, with a lightening counter being finished off by Cristiano Ronaldo. Barcelona were back in it!

They now had the momentum, and a poor offside decision on 77 minutes robbed them of the chance to win the game. Not to be deterred, Barca kept working and a surging run by Robben, followed by a beautiful trhough ball left Suarez with chance to be the hero 4 minutes from time.

Suarez went for the spectacular lob against Neuer, the best keeper in the world and scored what could be the goal of the season. A goal deserving of any game, and one that brought Barcelona and Batigol the Challenge Trophy!

MAN UTD 1 (1) (0) (2) BARCELONA
RADAMEL FALCAO (30,pen)

CHRISTIANO RONALDO (63)
LUIS SUAREZ (86)

It was a new look team that took to the field for that last game of the season. With the title won, Ozil, messi, santos all departed.

It was a team with Ramos, Brehme, Litmanen, Di natale and Robinho, that took to the field in celebration at a title triumph and out on a great show, running out 3-0 winners.

After an uneasy end to the season, Bayern bounced back with a cup final triumph and confirmation as Division 2 champions. Late signing Laudrup seemed to carry the side through with 14 goals in the last 10 or so games of the season.

At the post match presser, manager Batigol expressed his delight at a triumph in a tough league with some top managers and, rather surprisingly, hinted that his time at Bayern could be up. He will sit down with the board this week to discuss his future.

Could a new challenge await both for Bayern and their manager?

Player if the Season:- Mesut Ozil
Captain:- Nilton dos Santos
Top Scorer:- Michael Laudrup (14gls in 17apps)
