Corinthians fans got very excited this week....

A 2-1 win in the league away at Werder....

A 1-0 win against St Pauli in the 1st leg of the play off's.....

A 2-1 win against St Pauli in the 2nd leg of the play off's.....

But then it all came crashing down in the play off final against Milan thanks to a hat trick and a 10 star performance from Enzo Francescoli.

I doubt Corinthains were ready for the top division but 4th place is a decent season.

Go Corinthians!

Unlucky mate.

Must be favourites for the title this year, especially with impending upgrade of a certain Ronaldo.

Hmmm not sure about being favourites, some big teams coming down.

Can't wait for Ronaldo to become a legend though

Good week for Corinthians as they travel to Sporting and come away with a 2-1 victory, Romario scoring both goals and getting the man of the match.

In transfer news Brocksom secures the services of long term target Bebeto and now has the 3 centre forwards he always wanted in Romario, Ronaldo and Bebeto.

After the arrival of Bebeto and Junior last week Brocksom can once again field an all Brazilian line up, in fact the only non Brazilian in the 31 man squad is Erico, who has just been put up for sale.

Go Corinthians!

2 goals and a man of the match performance from Romario gives Corinthians a 2-1 win over St Pauli. Romario now has 5 goals in 4 games.

A few squad players leave meaning Ronaldo will gain his legend status next week

Go Corinthians!

Corinthians did a Milan double this week as they beat both AC and Inter.

AC were dumped out of the cup 2-1 with goals from Ronaldo and Romario, and Inter also lost 2-1 in the league, Junior and Elano the men on target this time.

Romario is on fire, 10 in 10.

Go Corinthians!

A win in the cup.

A draw in the league.

That is all.

Not as well as i would like so far, 1 goal and 1 assist in 4 games since his upgrade i think. Romario out shining him.

I see i play you in 2 cups

Disasterous few weeks for the boys from Brazil....

Pretty much sick of the sight of Hamburg! having lost to them 3 times in 2 weeks and gone out of 2 cups, pretty sure they've knocked me out of cups in the past as well.

Things haven't been much better in the league either, 4 draws in a row have seen Corinthians drop to 7th. Having said that the league is very tight, only 5 points off top spot but equally only 5 points off the bottom 3. A big upturn needed in the second half of the season.

A creditable draw in the cup against mighty Milan and a much needed win in the league away to Chelsea.

Go Corinthians!

A change of tactics has seen Corinthians win their last 3 league games (all 3-2 strangely) and move the Brazilians from 7th to 2nd, although you could throw a towel over the top 7 teams it is that close.

A special mention must go to Lukas Podolski who in his loan spell from Man City scored 4 goals, made 2 assists and got 2 man of the matches in just 4 games, incredible.

Go Corinthians!

If you'd like Podolski's stay extended, let me know
